The renovated and restored NorShor Theatre in downtown Duluth officially opens to the public on Feb. 1. Here’s a look at the re-lit marquee:
The News Tribune will be running a special section about the NorShor in the Feb. 1 paper — the second time the paper has printed a special section to celebrate the venue. The first was in July 1941, when the NorShor opened for the first time (after an extensive remodeling of the former Orpheum Theatre which had stood on that site). The section ran on July 10; the theater opened on July 11.
