2012 Attic Calendar Is On Sale Now

The 2012 Duluth Memories calendar, featuring historical photos from the News Tribune archives, is on sale now.

The calendar features 13 photos from the Twin Ports dating from the 1950s through the 1980s. It sells for $7; $10 is shipping is required.

You can purchase calendars during business hours at the News Tribune offices, 424 W. First St. in downtown Duluth. Calendars also will be sold at the News Tribune booth at this weekend’s Festival of Trees at the DECC.

Or, they are available for sale on the News Tribune website. You can access the order form here.

This is the second year the calendar has been printed; supplies are limited. The 2011 calendar, featuring a different set of News Tribune archive photos, sold out.

Proceeds from calendar sales go to support the Duluth News Tribune’s Newspapers in Education (NIE) program, which is a cooperative effort between schools and newspapers to promote the use of newspapers as an education resource.

There also was a Taco John’s on Central Entrance. Don’t know which was first the one on London Road or Central Entrance.
